In pursuance of a judgment of the Supreme Appellate Court of Pakistan in the case Al- Jehad Trust Versus Federation of Pakistan etc. reported in 1999 SCMR, Page 1379, Government of Pakistan established Northern Areas Court of Appeals at Gilgit vide Gazette of Pakistan, extraordinary, part II dated 8 November 1999 with Appellate Jurisdiction, the Court started function on 27 september 2005, when the Chairman and members were appointed.
Pakistan's 77th Independence Day was celebrated with a patriotic flag hoisting ceremony at the Supreme Appellate court Branch Registry Skardu.
On the momentous occasion of Pakistan's Independence Day, The Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan unflured the National flag .
The Registrar Supreme Appellate Court Mr. Aqil Hassan Chohan hoisted the national flag on Independance Day of Pakistan at SAC Gilgit.
The event was attended by esteemed staff members of SAC, who displayed unwavering solidarity with their homeland.
Special prayers were offered for the integrity, solidarity, and development of Pakistan .
The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the prosperity and well-being of Pakistan.
